The Buffalo ASP Team

About Buffalo ASP, LLC

The BASP team brings decades of hands-on industrial experience to every engagement — not just auditing credentials. Every auditor has held roles equivalent to the positions they audit, which means we understand your operations from the inside out. We ask the right questions, in language your team actually uses, and connect what we find back to what your management system requires. Buffalo ASP is led by two seasoned EHS professionals with decades of combined experience in Responsible Care® auditing.

What Makes Our Audits Different

Rather than relying on technical specification language during audits, BASP engages teams using familiar, real-world terms — covering areas like waste management, safety practices (energy isolation, hot work, confined spaces), health and hygiene, hazard communication, incident investigation, and security. This approach allows for more meaningful conversations with staff while ensuring findings are accurately aligned back to management system requirements. With deep experience in environments where policies, standards, and procedures are critical, BASP auditors focus on identifying real operational risks tied to system gaps — not just checking boxes.

Ms. Wickman served as lead auditor for an international registrar, leading large audit teams and completing ISO 14001, ISO 18001/45001, RC14001, RCMS®, RSB®, NMA®, and SEMS® certification audits across the oil and gas, chemical, mining and milling, transportation, and manufacturing industries.

She participated in the API 1173 pilot assessment and has experience in pipeline management system audits. Philosophy

Ms. Wickman believes in risk-based auditing and that risk-based management systems are the most effective way to control and mitigate EHS&S risks and identify opportunities for improvement. Management system audits provide assurance and verification that the systems in place to reduce risk and identify opportunities are maintained and working.
